Cultural Bhajan at gulmi kurgha

Bhajan is a religious performance which held on different religious ceremonies like naming ceremony and feeding ceremony. Especially the higher cast Brahaman play musical instrument on Bhajan.


Only two musical instruments use on bhajan, they are Khaijadi and majura. Khaijari is a homemade instrument which is made by skin and wood. Majura is made by metal. Especially old generation love Bhajan because it is religious and most of old generation are religious. They believe on religion. In remote areas of Nepal, in every village there are group of brakhman, who can perform Bhajan. The group of Kurgha V.D.C. is very popular in Gulmi district. they have good voice and good art to play musical instrument.
