Many friends and relatives participated on wedding ceremony of Anil Sharma. Mr Pashupati Ghimire came from Russia to participate the ceremony. He came to enjoy the ceremony. He danced on ceremony with melodious song.


Saraswati Rijal came from japan to enjoy the wedding. She also enjoyed with dance, wedding ceremony is very important ceremony, relatives and friends come from foreign countries only to celebrate the ceremony, it’s very expensive to come from foreign countries but people don’t calculate the expenses, they come happily. All the neighbors also want to participate on wedding ceremony. magh 1st ridi festival gulmi

First day may Magh month according to Nepal calendar is called Maghe Sakranti. This first day is celebrated as a big festival. People get bath on the meeting point of three rivers which is called triveni.


According to hindu mythology if anyone take bath on this day every sin cleans. So every religious people go on river and take bath. From this day days go longer and night shorter. Ridi is a meeting point of three rivers so every year here held maghe festival. People take bath first day and enjoy with different programs three day. This year also Ruru friends club organized different musical programs on the occasion of maghe sakranti in Ridi. Many national and local singers and dancers entertained to the local people on that festival. It was held three days. Many religious people from different districts participated on the festival. Triveni is famous for funeral procession and religious bath.

Salaijo nepali cultural dance at wami gulmi

Salaijo is a cultural song which is performed by Gurung community. It’s a traditional song of Gurung people. Gurung is a cast who live in hilly and Himalayan region. They have their own language.


They speak their language in family and in community. They have Mongolian face; they came from china and living in Nepal from thousands of years. Most of Gurung are Buddhist; they celebrate Lhosar as a main festival. Especially Gurung people sing Salaijo on different ceremonies and in different festivals. They perform dance on Salaijo on different programs.

Culture and tradition are the main attraction of Baglung district. This district is very rich in cultural and historical monuments. People of this district are very sincere about their culture and tradition.


Here lives people of different cast and different ithnic group, they have their own language, culture, tradition, and customs. Here especially live Brahaman, chhetri, Gurung, Magar, newari people. Gurung people have Gurung Language, Magar people have magar Language, Newari people have Newari language. They speak their language in family and in community to preserve their language. They have different festivals. Lhosar id the main festival of Gurung and Gaijatra is a main festival of Newar. All people of different cast use panche Baja as a traditional music. They use Panche Baja in different Ceremonies. They are helping to preserve Panche baja to the posterity.

An actress and model Binu khadka performed in Panche Baja festival at Wami Gulmi. She is a very famous dancer. She danced on many music videos. People of wami used to see her on television but this time they saw her directly. She danced at wami which dance is very unique.


Panche Baja festival was very interesting because of national singers, national dancers and local different Panche Baja. It was a tournament between Panche baja but organizer invited national singers and models also which made program very unique. It was first festival which was organized to preserve and save cultural and historical Panche Baja. Panche Baja is a very famous music which is use in different ceremonies such as marriage ceremony, naming ceremony, feeding ceremony etc. we must organize such program to promote panche Baja. We must save this traditional music for posterity.
